Jose MelendezHired October 5th 1995 (Wild 107.7 now Wild 94.9)...Is one of the original "Wild Style DJ's" ..Having one of the longest tenures in radio & daily mixshow in the bay area "The Wild Workout at Noon", this 15 year veteran continues to move forward & defy all the odds when it comes to this very tough industry of entertainment. When asked why he feels how he has lasted this long, he simply answered:
I always felt that if I was true to my craft as a DJ & to the music, it would all work itself out..I was never scared of change or adversities when it came to this industry...music has gone in many cycles, as far as genres & listeners taste...it was never about me in any way...I changed with the scene and at times felt that I set the new trends and direction...I really do feel that I have helped shape in some sort of small way the sound of Wild 94.9 & bay area music...It's definitely been a great ride after all these years but I have no intention of slowing down..I still feel the best years are ahead of me....So with that being said..I would like to give thanks to..God, my family, my friends, my wild family & staff ...and most importantly.....The Wild 94.9 listeners..thank you for all your love & support thru out the years ..let's keep it going!
