In the midst or racial tension in the U.S. a Virginia sixth-grader is now being accused of lying on her classmates regarding a recent incident.
School officials say Amari Allen who is Black falsely accused three of her classmates of cutting her dreadlocks off at Immanuel Christian School.
Allen's parents issued a statement apologizing to the students, school and larger community.
