Quinn XCII Sets The Bar High For The WiLD 94.9 Jingle Ball

With the buzzing crowd and the blue lights that wash over them, The Masonic has been transformed into a Winter wonderland for tonight's WiLD 94.9 Jingle Ball in San Francisco. But the snow didn't stand a chance after the first performer Quinn XCII (pronounced Quinn 92) blazes onto the Jingle Ball stage!

From rapping over Youtube beats to landing a three week stint at #1 on Spotify's Global Viral Chart and signing with Columbia records, the sky is the limit for Quinn XCII. The Detroit rapper released two independent EPs in 2015 and 2016, gaining attention from fans of all genres. The concept of genre is malleable in Quinn XCII's music, resulting in a unique blend of all types of popular music like electronic, hip-hop, and soul. His latest album From Michigan With Love is a prime example of just how wide his range is.

As WiLD 94.9's very own Crystal Rosas introduces the opening act, fans begin shouting out his name before she has the chance to say it. Quinn XCII bursts onto the stage with the confidence and charisma of a seasoned performer. After a tour including eight cities in Europe and 30 in North America and with two albums under his belt, it makes sense that Quinn XCII was prepared to take the crowd's excitement to new heights.

Quinn XCII hits the ground running and performs songs from both of his albums "Sad Still," "Candle," and "Autopilot." It's clear that the artist has a devoted following here in the Bay Area and he takes advantage of it. Throughout the songs "Full Circle," "Fake Denim," and "Love Me Less," Quinn XCII sporadically throws his mic out to the audience in the middle of a verse and the crowd does their job dutifully and full of soul.

He slows things down and a bit and sings a mini a capella version of "Straightjacket" and once again lets the crowd take over on the vocals. The crowd continues to sing and dance their hearts out, especially the fans that are near the barricade, as Quinn XCII matches their energy through "Always Been You" and "Another Day In Paradise."

Before finishing his set, he stops and has everyone put of their cell phone flashlight and holds a moment of silence for the rapper Juice Wrld who passed away today. Quinn XCII then finishes off his set with the penultimate "Flare Guns" and concludes with his most recent single "Stacy."

He says goodbye to the raving crowd, setting the bar intimidatingly high for the rest of the night.
