San Francisco schools are working to get air purifiers in classrooms to help combat smoke and reduce the risk of COVID transmission. Schools have reportedly been opening windows to help with air circulation, but smoke from fires has become a problem.
If approved, the San Francisco Unified School District plans to spend $2.9 million on 3,750 portable air purifier machines to cover all classrooms.
Parents are very supportive of the idea and claim it's long overdue as other districts in the Bay Area have already done this.
