Research conducted by professor Maryanne Fisher, a psychologist from Saint Mary’s University, Canada, states that men with dog photos in their dating app profile are "more likely to settle down."
According to the NY Post, the study analyzed 750 dating up profiles and asked them if they were looking for something long-term or short-term. Fisher found that of the men who were looking for something serious, 8 out of every 10 of them had photos with a dog.
"Fisher believes the puppy pics subconsciously signal to single women that a man is trustworthy and responsible."
