Liam Payne Talks 'Strip That Down', One Direction's Hiatus, Working With Migos, Nicki Minaj & More

Liam Payne, of One Direction fame, stopped by the WiLD 94.9 VIP Lounge for a special interview with Gabby Diaz.

He kicked off the chat by trying to come up with a name for his fan group with the audience of winners (we're fans of "The Payne Train", personally). Liam discussed his upcoming album, which he says he's already finished, and his first single Strip That Down. "The thing is, after the first song drops, you don't really know what's gonna come in after."

Liam made sure to emphasized that the only band went on hiatus, implying that we could see a reunion come together after these boys explore their solo work. "Since [going on hiatus], I've kind of been quietly working away and trying to figure out what kind of artist I wanted to be and what I'm most into," he said. "And I think that's the most important thing, really."

Plus, he said he still keeps in contacts with the other members of the band, though they don't share their new music with each other before it drops. "Everyone is so secretive!" Liam said.

Liam also took audience questions (like "do you like being called 'daddy'"), talked about being a father, and who he worked with on the album and which artists he'd like to collaborate with in the future.
