Actress Anne Hathaway used her Instagram as a platform to call out white privilege. Hathaway wrote about the vicious attack on 18-year-old Nia Wilson, a black woman who was stabbed for no reason by 27-year-old John Cowell, who is white. "The murder of Nia Wilson - may she rest in the power and peace she was denied here - is unspeakable AND MUST NOT be met with silence," Hathaway wrote. "She is not a hashtag; she was a black woman and she was murdered in cold blood by a white man." wrote Hathaway. The actress then asked the question of “how decent are we really?” speaking to her white counterparts.
I'd love your comments on this subject from all sides. No matter what race you are for me it really comes down to human decency and looking out for each other. What happened? Where did we go wrong where in today's current climate most people turn the other way?
