Cyndi Lauper Taps ASAP Rocky, Bebe Rexha & More For Charity Show

Cyndi Lauper has rounded up a diverse group of performers for her eighth annual "Cyndi Lauper and Friends: Home for the Holidays” benefit concert, which is taking place December 8th at New York City's Beacon Theater.

Among the acts set for the annual charity show include Amanda Palmer, Angie Stone, A$AP Rocky, Bebe Rexha, Bishop Briggs, Charlie Musselwhite, Dr. Elmo, Gina Yashere, Natalie Merchant, Regina Spektor, Robert Glasper, Sara Ramírez, Shea Diamond, and The Knocks. The Carson Kressley-hosted event will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the True Colors Fund, a Lauper co-founded organization aimed at preventing and ending homelessness among LGBTQ youth. As per the press release, up to 40% of youth in America experiencing homelessness are LGBTQ and, according to a recent study from Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago, LGBTQ young people are 120 percent more likely to experience homelessness than non-LGBTQ youth.

"LGBTQ youth are strong, brave, and resilient," Lauper said in a statement. "At 'Home for the Holidays,' we’ll raise our voices in solidarity with LGBTQ young people – and raise money to support the True Colors Fund's work to end homelessness among LGBTQ youth. I'm so grateful to the artists for donating their time and talent to bring attention to this important cause."

Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday at 12 PM ET via Ticketmaster.
