Pippa Middleton Welcomes First Child With Husband James Matthews

Congratulations are in order for Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews! The happy couple welcomed a baby boy on Monday (Oct. 15) at 1:58 p.m. local time, according to E! News. Pippa's son weighed 8lb and 9oz. and both mom and baby are doing well. "Everyone is delighted," her rep confirmed.

Rumors started swirling that Kate Middleton was about to become an aunt for the first time when Pippa and James were spotted outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's hospital with overnight bags. Kate welcomed all three of her children at the Lindo Wing, as well.

Kensington Palace released a statement following the birth, stating that, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James." Kate and Prince William's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are sure to be excited about their new cousin. Born just six months apart, Pippa's son and Prince Louis are sure to be the best of friends.

This must be an exciting time for the extended royal family. In addition to the Middleton sisters both welcoming babies in 2018, it was also announced yesterday that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child together in the spring of 2019. Hopefully, royal watchers everywhere are treated to plenty of adorable pictures of all the royal cousins ASAP!

Congratulations to Pippa and James on the birth of their son!
