Sasha Sloan Dreams of Working with Coldplay and Talks Summers in Siberia!

Sasha Sloan's love for singing started when she was 3 years old. She grew up listening to artists like Amy Whinehouse, Brandi Carlile, the Carpenters, the Killers, Green Day, Lana Del Rey, Adele, Ingrid Michaelson and describes her music as "sad pop."

"I like to use a lot of real instruments with some electronic mixed in and it's just really lyric focused."

Her grandparents live in Siberia and used to visit them often in the summer time. She describes it as freezing, but also got to experience milking cows and living on a farm.

"It's like -40 degrees in the Winter and 105 degrees in the Summer."

Sasha Sloan talks about being on her first headline tour and loves to vibe off of the crowd as they sing her songs. She used to get super nervous and afraid, but is having a blast!

"Afterwards it's always the best feeling... it's just crazy to see people there singing the words back to me and seeing everyone in the audience always makes me feel less nervous."

She's a huge Amy Whinehouse fan and would have loved doing a collaboration with her. However, Sasha Sloan says working with Coldplay is an example of her "dreaming really big" because she's a massive Coldplay fan!

This year, she's going with the flow as she finishes up her tour, working on her album, and plans to tour again in the Fall! Find out more about Sasha Sloan on this episode of the Launch below!
