Camila Cabello Says Her New Music Will Be From A 'Really Pure Place'

Camila Cabello is back to work on new music!

The “Never Be the Same” superstar took to social media on Monday (August 10) to let fans know she’s been making the most of her downtime in quarantine to record new material.

“Sending so much love to everyone. been writing a lot of new music and it’s coming from a really pure place,” Cabello shared with a photo of her relaxing on a couch, with her guitar and keyboard at her side. “Reminding myself everyday [sic] that life is now; and not in yesterday or tomorrow. let’s be extra gentle, soft, and kind to ourselves and others today✨”

It’s the latest new music update we’ve received from Cabello since the former Fifth Harmony member, who released her sophomore album Romance in December, previously teased an upcoming music project back in May.

“I’m so excited to show u guys what I’m working on!!!” she captioned a Boomerang Instagram video inside her home studio, presumably recording new tunes. “Fun little project I’ve been doing, you guys will see in the next couple weeks!”

Although we’ve yet to hear more about the surprise project, Cabello would continue to promote her new record by releasing her new single “First Man” along with a music video dedicated to her father, Alejandro, in honor of Father's Day. The song was her latest single release since she delivered the remixed version of "My Oh My" featuring DaBaby and Gunna the month before.
