CDC Releases Guidelines And Alternate Ways To Celebrate Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner and the CDC not only wants you to enjoy the festivities, but be safe and cautious!

Trick-Or-Treating

If you plan on going trick-or-treating:

  • Wear a mask
    • Note: Costume masks will not keep you protected!
  • Practice social distancing
  • Wash your hands
    • Keep hand sanitizer on you
    • Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water when you get home, before having any treats

If you plan on giving away candy or treats:

  • Avoid or minimize direct contact with trick-or-treaters
  • Give away individually bagged treats to kids to pick up
  • Stay outdoors
  • Wear a mask
  • Wash your hands often

Alternate Activities

Other activities you could enjoy:

  • Check out a pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins to carve with the family
  • Enjoy the outdoors at orchards, forests or local haunted corn mazes

At home activities to try:

  • Halloween style scavenger hunt around the house or backyard
  • Costume parade
  • Halloween movie night
