Girl Scouts twitter account congratulated Amy Coney Barrett on becoming the 5th woman to be appointed to the Supreme Court. Many fans though were not with it and are now canceling Girl Scout Cookies.
Some of the comments included,
Hi y’all, “girl power!” shouldn’t be about supporting a woman just because they’re a woman, especially if that woman wants to take away the rights of women!!
Some women who are part of Girl Scouts said,
Wow.I was a Girl Scout for many years as a kid and teen, and this is not what we represent.Girl Scouts are about progress and making sure that girls grow into strong women. This woman wants to cut girls off at the knees.Shame on you.
