Mariah Carey's Estranged Sister Sues Her For Emotional Distress

Mariah Carey's sister, Alison Carey, is suing the songstress for $1.25 million dollars for emotional distress she's suffered from allegations Mariah made about her in her book, "The Meaning of Mariah".

In Mariah's book the singer made claims that when she was twelve years old, her sister Alison abused her and "gave her Valium, tried to pimp her out and threw a cup of boiling hot tea on her causing third-degree burns".

Alison states that there isn't proof of these claims and that they were both abused by their mother.

Mariah Carey hasn't responded to the lawsuit yet.

What do you think is going to happen with this case? Do you think her sister is entitled to compensation? Have you ever been sued by a family member or have you sued a family member?
