Dave Coulier gave a hopeful update on his health, months after he shared he was battling tongue cancer.

In an appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday (February 4), the Full House star, 66, revealed is in remission from not one, but two forms of cancer, per E! News. Coulier announced his tongue cancer diagnosis in December 2025, a shocking turn of events as he had beaten Non-Hodgkin lymphoma only months earlier.

"It's been a roller coaster ride for sure," he said. "I'm in remission with both cancers. And what a journey this has been."

In December, Coulier previously shared that he had been diagnosed with early stage, P16-positive oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma and that it was "totally unrelated" to his previous cancer. At the time, he recalled how much of a "shock to the system" his diagnosis was but that "the prognosis [was] good" and the early stage made it "very treatable."

The Fuller House actor explained Wednesday on GMA the importance of sharing his story and why he hopes to "help people" be proactive with their own health.

"I never wanted to be the poster boy for cancer, believe me," he said. "But now I feel like I can encourage people to get those prostate exams and mammograms and just talk to your doctors and get ahead of this."

Coulier stressed that same sentiment to People after sharing his latest diagnosis.

"I kind of lucked out with these two cancers because they're 'good cancers' — if that's even possible to say," he said. "I feel like I'm being allowed to get healthy again so that I can be a voice to encourage early detection and tell people to get those prostate exams, mammograms and colonoscopies. Early detection has saved my life twice."
