On Friday (June 5th) DC Mayor Muriel E. Bowser officially renamed 16th Street in front of the White House “Black Lives Matter Plaza.”

Giant yellow letters reading 'Black Lives Matter' are being painted on 16th Street NW between H and K streets in Washington D.C. amid nationwide protests after the murder of George Floyd.
