There’s a good chance Klay Thompson might not play basketball late in the year, however, he has been active in demanding justice for Black lives that have fell victim to police brutality. Klay has been vocal via social media in spreading awareness on the issue. His latest Instagram posts encourage others to support Black-owned businesses and demand justice for Elijah McClain.
More recently, the Golden State Warrior responded to San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Sam Coonrad after giving an excuse as to why he didn’t kneel prior to the anthem in solidarity with the rest of his coaches and teammates. The Giants pitcher argued “I’m a Christian. So I just believe that I can’t kneel before anything besides God.”
