The dome-shaped dining areas in San Francisco have been ordered to be removed by the Department of Public Health. According to the Chronicle, a public health office ordered Hashiri (the high-end Japanese restaurant) to take down the domes “due to the enclosed nature of the structure, which may not allow for adequate air flow.”
On Friday, August 7 San Francisco’s 'Sushi Hashiri' restaurant in the South of Market neighborhood debuted for the first time “dome seating”. Each dome costs about $1,400 but the owner believed it to be a good investment for their business.
