Demi Moore and Bruce Willis may have been divorced for more than 20 years, but the Substance star remains a "constant presence" in his life amid his dementia diagnosis.

In a new interview with Variety published Thursday (February 6), Moore opened up about still being family with the Die Hard star, "just in a different form," per Page Six. She even visits him each week to make sure he and his family feel supported throughout his health battles with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. The exes share three daughters — Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31 — while Willis is also a dad to daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, whom he shares with wife Emma Heming Willis.

"For me, there was never a question. I show up because that's what you do for the people you love," she said,

The Ghost actress added that she hopes to set an example for other couples post-divorce that you can have a healthy relationship with your ex and don't have to hold animosity for each other, especially when children are involved.

"I hope it's encouraging for others to see that there's a different way to do things," Moore said. "There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love."

This way of thinking is hitting even closer to home as their daughter Rumer plans to following in their footsteps following her split from boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, with whom she shares 1-year-old daughter Louetta, Page Six reports.

"Even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritizing my sisters and I," she said in a recent interview. She added, "Not only did I feel like that has set me up in my life to have such a beautiful foundation of my own family, but now, as I'm working through co-parenting as well, I feel deep gratitude for the example they've set."
