Super Duper KYLE came by the new AT&T THANKS Sound Studio in spoke with G-Biz of 106 KMEL's Sana G Morning Show about a very wide range of topics. The interview even started off on a light-hearted note when KYLE noticed a fan in the audience wearing what he called an "OG Fruit Snacks" sweatshirt (referencing his 2013 song by the same name).
After gushing over his love for Kehlani, KYLE told the story of recording with her in the middle of Skid Row. In his words, he was amazed at how chill she was with the environment and how quickly she was able to record her parts to perfection.
KYLE also discussed touring with Logic. A tour which has included roast-sessions, video game tournaments, and intellectual conversations.
KYLE went on to share a story about how he tricked a friend into driving him cross-state on a trip that was only supposed to be a short drive.
This year's VMA's will include a nomination for KYLE for the first time. He expressed his nervousness about winning. So much that he made the entire room pinky-promise to vote for him.
Lauren Hill was also brought up as a staple of KYLE's upbringing. He told a story of seeing her perform at The Apollo and having the opportunity to go backstage and give her a hug. An experience he will never forget.
When taking audience questions, KYLE was asked whether or not a Kid Cudi collaboration was on the table. He confirmed that there is nothing currently in the works, but that he would be very open to a collaboration. KYLE expressed his long-time fandom for Kid Cudi, then went on to give a personal message to Kid Cudi directly into the camera.
The interview was fun and light from start to finish, a characteristic that couldn't be more "KYLE."
