San Francisco Statisticians find Dirtiest Block in the City

A cornucopia of syringes, feces, dog urine, cigarette butts, litter galore, this can all be found at the 300 block of Hyde Street. 

City statisticians found that in the heart of he tenderloin, this area near Hyde and Eddy Streets is the dirtiest in SF. 

There have been a total of  2,227 complaints about  the street and sidewalks over the past decade.

SF has had to replace 300 lamp posts that were covered by dog and human urine over the past three years a 100,000 needles were picked up by the Public Works Department over the past year. Photo: Getty Images
