Amy Rosenthal and Craig Silverstein wouldn’t let something like a little blackout stop them from getting married when New York City went dark on Saturday, July 13th.
Just as Amy completed her walk down the aisle all of the lights went out, although her guest thought it was done for dramatic effect, it was, in fact, a blackout.
As guest used their smartphone lights and the photographer used his light stand to illuminate the room the couple was able to continue with their vows.
Later for the reception, the room was lit by candlelight as the couple danced for the first time as man and wife. "It was unbelievable," Amy told The New York Times. "Everyone stepped up and were doing everything in their power to make the night a special one."
