Actor Steven Seagal has been charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission with failing to disclose payments for promotional work that he'd done in the past.
According to the SEC, Seagal withheld information about up to $30,000 in promotional payments he made in conjunction with cryptocurrency.
The Commission had found out that Seagal was promoting his crypto investments on his social media for $250,000 in cash and $750,000 worth of cryptocurrency.
Seagal has agreed to pay in excess of $314,000 and says he will stay away from any promotions of securities for the next three years.
