While most peoplereceivegifts on their birthday, former Raiders star Marshawn Lynch spent his big daygivingthem.
The Oakland native, who turned 34 on Wednesday, celebrated by handing out protective coronavirus masks to frontline workers throughout the community. Among the recipients of the masks, which were emblazoned with the "Beast Mode" logo, were workers at the Alameda Food Bank and Lake Merritt medical facilities.
While those who received the gifts were glad to receive the masks from the NFL superstar, no one was happier than Lynch's mother, who expressed her pride in a tweet. "I told y'all I got a real one here!" Delisa Lynch posted. "Just keeps me proud! Happy birthday, Marshawn!"
What's the most unselfish thing you've ever done? Do you wear a protective mask when you leave your home?
Marshawn is a Bay Area gem-- Happy belated and thanks for following me on Twitter! Xoxo, Crystal.
