Mayor London Breed of San Francisco released a four-point plan for police reform that will redirect the focus of policing as the San Francisco Police Department is largely occupied by calls about homelessness and issues about mental health.Mayor Breed’s plan will include replacing sworn officers with trained and non-armed professionals who she said would be better at handling situations like neighbor disputes, school discipline interventions, or behavioral health crises.
