At this point, there's nothing more 2020 could throw at us that would be surprising. Which is why plenty of people believed Jimmy Kimmel's latest on-street prank.
The late-night show interviewed random people for its "Lie Witness News" segment, telling them that President Trump selected his daughter Ivanka to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court left by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
It seems few outside the Hollywood theater doors were fazed by the fake news, with many claiming they heard the announcement on TV and radio.
The real pick will be made public on Saturday.
