A man wanted in a $35 million fraud scheme fled the FBI with a James-Bond-like underwater escape.
Authorities say Matthew Piercey drove an 'underwater scooter' into the freezing-cold waters of Lake Shasta in Northern California.
Unfortunately for Piercey, the FBI agents simply waited for him to surface about 25 minutes later, then made his arrest.
Piercey is facing up to 20 years for an alleged Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors out of $35 million.
What do you think Piercey's plan was once he went underwater? Did he think the FBI would just give up?
