G-Eazy ends partnership w/ H&M!!

Yikes! Things are looking really bad for H&M! After the horrible photo that surfaced yesterday, many have been pulling out of partnerships with the company. The Weeknd took to Twitter and announced that he will no longer be working with them yesterday.

And now today G-Eazy has said that he has decided not to work with H&M either. He posted this on Instagram expressing how upset he is about this matter.

Over the past months I was genuinely excited about launching my upcoming line and collaboration with @HM... Unfortunately, after seeing the disturbing image yesterday, my excitement over our global campaign quickly evaporated, and I've decided at this time our partnership needs to end. Whether an oblivious oversight or not, it's truly sad and disturbing that in 2018, something so racially and culturally insensitive could pass by the eyes of so many (stylist, photographer, creative and marketing teams) and be deemed acceptable. I can't allow for my name and brand to be associated with a company that could let this happen. I hope that this situation will serve as the wake up call that H&M and other companies need to get on track and become racially and culturally aware, as well as more diverse at every level.

Been everywhere and back this week it feels like, every radio station every interview every signing every release party, tv performance, every uber every airport, every nap I could grab running on little to no sleep, it’s all been worth it... blessed to finally have the album out and thankful to every single fan who’s listened and supported. Back at the Roxy in LA tonight the first venue I ever played here, doing a special show for the day one fans. Full circle as it gets, I’m grateful af for everywhere this journey has taken me. Big love 🙏🏼🖤
