Looks like the city is in the middle of a big controversy. Lawmakers are thinking about joining a growing list of cities dropping Columbus Day. Instead Native Americans would be celebrated.
If you didn't know Berkeley was the first city in the Nation to axe Columbus Day back in 1992. Which I had no idea about! I think that is so dope! The vote is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd! GAH! Lets see what happens!
