There is no denying that Klay Thompson has been a key contributor to the recent success the Warriors have had, but could be be jumping ship once he's a free agent in 2019?
Don't count on it! Lucky for us, it seems like Thompson is happy being a part of the unbeatable machine the Warriors have become. Last year he expressed how happy he is to be working alongside key players like Kevin Durant, saying how much easier he's made Thompson's job who now just has to “run around out there and shoot the ball.” Well, Thursday Thompson spoke up about the prospect of him staying in The Bay after his contract is up. He gave the following quote to Bay Area News Group:
“Absolutely,” Thompson told Bay Area News Group. “I’ve always said that. Playing for one team your whole career is definitely special. Only so many guys have done it in professional sports, so it’ll be a goal of mine. Hopefully it all works out.”
There you have it folks, unless some real drastic stuff goes down that changes the relationship between Thompson and his teammates, he ain't going anywhere!
