Starbucks to pay for all Transgender Staff's surgeries!

Monday Starbucks announced that they are going to be changing some things to their Insurance Policies. They are planning to expand health benefits for Transgender employees that will cover surgeries that used to be considered cosmetic.

Starbucks had covered Transgender reassignment surgery since 2012. But now they are going to be covering: breast reduction, breast augmentation, hair transplants, voice therapy, and facial feminization therapy.

“The approach was driven not just by the company’s desire to provide truly inclusive coverage, and by powerful conversations with transgender partners about how those benefits would allow them to truly be who they are,” said Ron Crawford, vice president of benefits at Starbucks, in a statement.
