San Jose Mayor wants protection for those affected by Government Shutdown!

You gotta love Sam Liccardo for looking out for his community. 

San Jose Mayor is proposing protection for renters who are affected by the Government shut down. In a memo on Wednesday to the City Council. Sam proposed that the city adopt an ordinance that would put a temporary moratorium on allowing landlords to evict their tenants for not paying rent. 

"Just as surely as Will Rogers could find no trick to being a humorist when you have the government working for you, there’s no difficulty crafting a horror story when the government shuts down,” the mayor told reporters. “We’re trying to save our federal employees from the federal government.”
