Judge Morris Jacobson has ruled that he believes Nia Wilson's murderer needs to be mentally examined. Nia's family believes that John Cowell is not mentally unstable. His defense attorney believes that he is not able to stand trial due to being mentally unstable. The prosecution does not believe that is the case.
