There is so much sickness going around. And I think a ton of people are thinking that Hand Sanitizer will prevent it. But the FDA, says no no.
The FDA says that Hand Sanitizer will no stop you from getting the flu. And they are tired of company's like Purell, making claims that it will prevent it.
In a letter to Purell, the FDA says it is "not aware of any adequate and well controlled studies" that prove that hand sanitizers prevent infection from viruses like the flu, ebola, MRSA, and norovirus.
Purell's parent company GOJO says its taking "immediate action" and is already updating their website.
