Looks a case of The Plague has been reported in South Lake Tahoe. Mind you its been 5-years since one of these has been reported. The resident is under medical care at home.
Apparently the plague bacteria is transmitted through fleas. That then acquired it from squirrels, chipmunks, and other wild rodents. Be careful out there people. Wear that bug sprat.
