On Wednesday, August 26 the Bucks players have opted not to leave their locker room for their Game 5 matchup against the Orlando Magic in response to the police shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, of Jacob Blake. The Magic, who did come out for shoot-around, went back into their locker rooms after figuring out the Milwaukee players were not coming out for Game 5. Shortly after, all of the NBA playoff games were postponed in the wake of the players' strike for Jacob Blake's shooting.
While reporting on the league’s decisions, Kenny “The Jet” Smith decided to walk off the set of ‘Inside the NBA’ in solidarity with the players’ boycott.
"As a black man, as a former player, I think it's best for me to support the players and just not be here tonight."
