Got a controlling ex? Tik Tok User ccarollynn gets it. She shared a VERY long message from her controlling ex about "rules" she "needs to follow" while she went to college. She deleted the video in order to make space for people escaping from these toxic relationships but we can still share the list her boyfriend sent.
He said "Rules for Carolyn: PAY ATTENTION, 1-Don’t ignore me after reading this 2- never turn off your life360, find my iphone, or Snap location 3-approve all outfits you wear past me and my mom 4-do not come in contact with boys by 25 or more feet 5- absolutely no drinking 6-no crop tops or tight clothing 7-be in your dorm by 9pm every night and facetime me so I know you are alone 8- no frat parties, house parties, dorm parties etc 9-no wearing other boys clothing 10-no comparing hand sizes with other boys, hugging, kissing etc and finally “never take off the ring I gave you.
In the video she responded to each of these ridiculous rules. For example, number 4- don't come into contact with other boys by 25 feet. She points out that she has classes with boys so that is essentially impossible.
Other Tik Tok users were eager to share the other rules that are absolutely ridiculous (aka all of them). Some mentioned that they one about her facetiming him every night to prove that she is alone was very toxic. Most people want to call or facetime you to make sure you are home and NOT alone aka safe.
