Amazon built the biggest facility yet, right on the San Diego/Tijuana border. The ribbon was cut on the 21st of September. This facility is surrounded by two smaller facilities on each side of the border. However this one is ten times bigger. General manager JaNiece Ford said, "We are a big big baby. Amazon has brought in some of the newest technology with some of the biggest space capacity in all of our network".
This 3 million square foot facility is filled with high tech robotics that will work with employees. 1,500 employees will work on this site, however this site is said to have a wellness center where employees can get massaged and stretched.
