Last month, when Kate McClure ran out of gas on a Philadelphia exit ramp, a homeless man named Johnny Bobbitt walked several blocks and used his last $20 to fill up a gas can for her. McClure responded by launching a GoFundMe page that’s raised some $400,000 to date in order to get Bobbitt back on his feet, far exceeding the campaign’s $10,000 goal. Now, McClure reports that Bobbitt, a Marine Corps veteran who's struggled with substance abuse, will first use his newfound wealth to purchase a house, followed by his “dream truck,” a 1999 Ford Ranger.
