Game Of Thrones is about to start its very last season. There is news that a Prequel, called The Long Night, will also be filmed starting in the next couple of months. The prequel is set thousands of years before the any of the actual events in Game Of Thrones and is focused on the ancestors.
HBO put out an official description of the series:
The series chronicles the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East, to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.
The series will not be featuring any of the the current characters including Kings Landing and the iron throne.
The cast for this series includes Naomi Watts as one of the lead roles. The star studded cast includes Josh Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson, Jamie Campbell Bower, Naomi Ackie, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, and Toby Regbo.
There is no official release date, we look forward to learning more about the series and seeing cast pictures!
