As the threat and fear over coronavirus (COVID-19) reaches an all-time high in America, San Francisco isn't taking any chances. Due to an order issued on Wednesday, March 12th, all public events that have a capacity of 1,000 or more persons are being either canceled or postponed to a later date.
Here is a list of events impacted by the order so far:
- Warriors Games including tonight's game versus the Nets
- The NBA has suspended the entire season until further notice after two players of the Utah Jazz tested positive for the virus
- Oakland A's Games
- Exhibition Game against SF Giants - March 24th: cancelled
- They are still working with MLB on alternative plans
- The MLB is reportedly suspending all operations indefinitely
- San Jose Sharks Games
- Concerts at the Chase Center through the month of March
- Rickshaw Stop
- The Regency Ballroom
- Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
- The Fox Theater - Oakland
- Shows from March 13th to March 30th have all been postponed
- Paramount Theatre - Oakland
- Shows between March 12th and March 31st are off but the venue is still working out if they will be postponed or cancelled
- Starline Social Club - Oakland
- The UC Theatre - Berkeley
- Cornerstone - Berkeley
- All March shows will be postponed
- Friday Off the Grid Market at Fort Mason Center
- Cancelled
- All business lunch markets/community markets will be take-out only
- Orpheum and Golden Gate Theaters
- Performances of Hamilton and and Sting's The Last Ship have been cancelled
- Outside Lands
- Potentially rescheduled or canceled. Refunds will be available if it is.
- BottleRock Napa Valley
