Trump administration has agreed to pay Pfizer about $2 billion for 100 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. Pfizer is currently developing the vaccine, but it has yet to get approved by the FDA. This agreement is part of Donald Trump's Operation Warp Speed vaccine program that aims to deliver 300 million COVID-19 vaccines by January 2021. According to Pfizer, Americans will be able to get the vaccine for free.
Nearly 4 million Americans have died due to COVID-19.
