Major League Soccer started a bit late this year due to COVID-19. Our Bay Area team, San Jose Earthquakes have been working hard and have made it into quarterfinals! The team will be expanding their drive-in viewing party for the match and will open up a new drive-in viewing party in the SoFA District of downtown San Jose.
Earthquakes Chief Operating Officer Jared Shawlee said in a statement,
The passion from Quakes fans to support our team has far exceeded the capacity of our sold-out Earthquakes Stadium viewing parties. We are thrilled to add a Downtown San Jose drive-in for this weekend’s match vs Minnesota United FC and will continue to look for more places around the Bay Area to support our incredible team.
The drive-in viewing parties are free but you must make a reservation. Season ticket holders will be able to make a reservation on July 29. Reservations for the general public will start July 30 at 10am. You can make your reservation here.
San Jose Earthquakes will face Minnesota United FC at 5 p.m. PT on August 1, 2020.
