Santa Clara County is opening one of the biggest drive through COVID-19 testing sites. The testing site will be at the county fairgrounds near Tully road and is said to test more than any other site in the Bay Area. It will be starting with 1,000 tests daily and will be expanding to test 5,000 per day.
The testing site will have a total of 10 lanes, they are expecting to add more. They will also have separate lanes for walk-up and bicycle lanes. Testing will be free, you can sign up to get tested here.
Testing is encouraged for asymptomatic individuals who came in contact with someone with COVID-19, as well as anyone who works on the frontlines in construction, supermarkets, restaurants, childcare or who regularly rides public transit. Individuals who have recently attended a gathering, party, or large family functionare also encouraged to get tested.
