Hannah Nelson is searching for her dog, Merlyn, after he was stolen at gun point on Friday in Oakland.
Nelson's friend was dog-sitting while she was out of town for the holidays. The friend was allegedly walking the 2-year-old Frenchie when two men approached her at gunpoint demanding the dog. She understandably froze and they sped off with the dog.
According to KRON 4, "French bulldogs have been a popular target for robbers, especially in the Bay Area because they go for higher prices."
The family set up a reward and is still on the lookout for their pup, who has a black spot on his shoulder and has a white chest and stomach.
