The 90-year-old Laocoön Group statue was vandalized at San Francisco's Legion of Honor Museum. The statue is said to represent when the Greek God Laocoön and his two sons fought serpents sent by Athena and Poseidon for trying to warn the Trojans about the wooden horse that led to the fall of Troy.
The two sons' heads were removed completely and part of Laocoön's legs was damaged. SFPD is investigating but there is no surveillance footage available. The museum just wants the pieces returned so they can be re-attached.
