Parents of a child at Neil Cummins Elementary School in Corte Madera sent their kid to school for seven days after testing positive for COVID-19. According to CNN, the only reason the school was aware, was because the local public health department had contacted them about a confirmed case that was never reported in the school's database.
The Marin County's superintendent of Larkspur-Corte Madera School District, Dr. Brett Geithma, said,
We did not know this positive case existed. Upon calling the household, we learned that the student tested positive, did not inform the schools, and then sent the student and their sibling to school for seven days.
