An Asian man was robbed as he was getting out of the car to check in to the Oakland Marriott.
According to Dion Lim of ABC 7, the thieves got away with a bag full of valuables, including thousands in cash, an expensive watch and some presents he meant to give to a friend.
"He thought he was in a safe place given the people who were around him at the time, including the valet."
