Twitter user Simon Curtis posted a picture of a cute green tree frog found in packaged lettuce from Whole Foods. He asked users if he should release it in the wild or keep it as a pet.
I found the cutest little frog in the bottom of my romaine lettuce tonight- it’s too cold to set him outside (27 degrees), but he’s been living in the lettuce in the fridge for several days now- does anyone know what I should do so that he doesn’t die?
The Twitter community quickly replied making the tweet go viral. Simon Curtis kept updating users throughout the day as he figured out what to do with Tony the frog. Many wildlife biologists have reached out with advice on how to care for Tony who is being kept in a temporary tank. See the thread below to follow the heartwarming story.
