Bay Area Toll Increase To Start On New Year's Day

Starting on January 1, 2022, there will be a $1 toll increase on seven Bay Area bridges, including: the Bay Bridge, Antioch, Benicia-Martinez, Carquinez, Dumbarton, Richmond-San Rafael and San Mateo bridges.

According to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and Bay Area Toll Authority, the pricing for two-axle vehicles and motorcycles will increase from $6 to $7 at all times, on all bridges except for the Bay Bridge.

On the Bay Bridge, toll will be as follows:

  • $6: Monday-Friday, during non-carpool hours (Midnight-5a, 10a-3p & 7p-midnight)
  • $8: Monday-Friday, during carpool hours (5a-10a & 3p-7p)
  • $7: Saturday & Sundays

The discount toll for motorcycles, carpool & clean air vehicles during peak carpool times will increase from $3 to $3.50. Vehicles must use Fastrak and use the carpool lane.
